Saxifraga marginata Sternb.

Flora Europaea perennial, chasmophyte, H mesic to mesoxeric, calciphyle saxicole, upper nemoral to boreal belt southern Carpathian - Balkan / Apenninic Seslerion rigidae, Micromerion pulegii, Saxifragetum rochelianae R3401, R62 habitats         This species, probably one of the most beautiful Saxifraga species is present in Romania only in the southern Apuseni Mountains, western Meridional Carpathians and Banat Mountains on calcareous massifs.
